Survey 160 Research Fellowship

Survey 160 seeks proposals for research fellowships. Survey 160 is a research company that builds and uses proprietary software to conduct live interviewer SMS and text-to-web surveys on elections, public policy, and other topics. Survey 160 is an industry leader in the use of text messaging for survey research, regularly presenting research at national conferences.

We are looking for creative researchers who can pursue research questions that can advance the science of public opinion surveys using text messages. The research question does not need to be specific to text-message-based surveys, but must be relevant to research conducted with that mode of contact. These research questions can focus on either survey fielding methods or survey statistics. The goal of this fellowship is to produce one (or more) co-authored research projects, using data collected by Survey 160, of a caliber meriting publication in scholarly journals.

The fellowship is fully remote and fellows can be based anywhere. This fellowship is ideal for doctoral candidates in the social sciences, survey methodology, or statistics interested in exploring work in the survey industry.
